Position: Finance Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Station: On-Site / Kuleshwor, Kathmandu

Offered Monthly Salary: Nrs. 35,000/- to 40,000/-

Working Hour: 9:30am to 5:30pm / Sunday to Thursday

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure financial and accounting aspects of the projects, including all project financial/financial monitoring planning, monthly reporting, and Financial Management.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of financial controls (bank reconciliations and other control accounts, performance management data, etc.)
  • Develop the annual operating budget and make appropriate revisions as per instructions from the Finance Head. 
  • Lead on the effective monitoring of the project budgets.
  • Effectively organize and manage internal and external audits.
  • Build strategic and implementation planning along with policies & procedures for the Finance Department.
  • Provide technical support to a partner organization in areas including overall financial management, internal control systems, budgeting, and reporting, and legal compliance. This post is sponsored by www.fakewatch.is our partners Wigs
  • Reviewing periodic reports of partners and advising the partners and program team on effective and efficient financial utilization.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as requested by the supervisor.
  • Monitor departmental budget and funds for on-going and new projects.
  • Develop a budget for a new program/ proposal coordinating with other relevant departments.

    Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s  Degree in Management especially finance management, Planning and Budgeting.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a related field is required
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Nepali.
  • Computer skills, such as email, and Microsoft Office Suite, are required. 
  • Proven track record of delivering successful products that meet user needs and business goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to wor effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable with self-learning new technology and teaching others.
  • Ability to manage both your team and your work within agreed timelines and prioritize important activities.
  • Comfortable traveling to project sites for regular monitoring and smooth communication with field assistants.
