Introduction
Aloi is a fintech on a mission to get real financial access to green micro-entrepreneurs – think e-tuktuk drivers, coffee and dairy farmers, small business owners who usually get overlooked by banks. We build the tech that helps them build credit, get loans, and grow, while partnering with banks, cooperatives and development organizations to make it happen.
We’re doing cool, impact-heavy work and we want our socials to actually reflect that – not corporate, not boring, just real stories told well. That’s where you come in
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Help plan and run Aloi’s content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Write captions and create posts, reels, and stories that don’t sound like a press release.
- Go out and capture content – field visits, trainings, partner events – photos, clips, quotes, the real stuff.
- Keep an eye on comments and DMs, reply or flag things, so nothing sits unanswered.
- Track what’s working – reach, likes, shares, follower growth – and report back monthly.
- Stay on top of trends, sounds, and formats that actually make sense for a fintech/climate brand (no cringe, we promise).
- Content writing: publish occasional newsletter or blog content.
- Talk to the entrepreneurs and partners we work with to pull out stories worth telling.
What We’ll Expect From You
- A relatable content calendar, updated in advance for the upcoming month.
- A steady flow of original posts/reels/stories each week (we’ll set a number together).
- A quick monthly recap of what’s performing and what’s not.
- Content from at least one field visit or event a month, when relevant.
Who We’re Looking For
- Studying or recently done with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Development Studies, or something similar – or just really good at this.
- Can write well in both English and Nepali.
- Comfortable with Canva, CapCut, InShot, or whatever your go-to editing app is.
- Bonus points if you can shoot decent photo/video on just your phone.
- Genuinely curious about fintech, climate, or social impact – you don’t need to be an expert, just interested.
- Self-starter energy – you can run with a task without someone checking in every hour.
- Down to head out for the occasional field visit.
What You’ll Get Out of It
- Real, hands-on experience running social for a growing impact-driven fintech.
- A front-row seat to how Aloi works with entrepreneurs, banks, and partners on the ground.
- Mentorship from honestly, the whole Aloi crew.
- A completion certificate – and a genuine shot at being re-hired after the 6 months if it’s working out.
How This Works Day-to-Day
- You’ll be based mostly at our Kathmandu office
- Hours follow Aloi’s regular schedule (full-time), with a perk of flexible hours from the 2nd month
- You’ll report to the Marketing & Communications Lead and jump into team check-ins & other cross departmental meetings
