Working Hours: 9:30am to 5:30pm / Sunday – Thursday

Job Summary

An exciting new opportunity awaits you as we are hiring a Officer for our Agriculture Business Development in a rapidly growing fin-tech company, Aloi Private Limited. Aloi Private Limited is a technology company that builds loan insight software. You would be mostly working from our office in Kuleshwor, Kathmandu and go on field visits as necessary.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the onboarding of agri-stakeholders onto the platform and deliver comprehensive training to ensure confident and effective use.
  • Engage regularly with stakeholders to support successful platform adoption and maximize utilization.
  • Conduct credit assessments through the platform to evaluate applicants’ creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
  • Perform risk assessments using company-approved models and agriculture-specific criteria to support informed and balanced credit decisions.
  • Collect agricultural loan applications along with all required farmers and supporting documents, ensuring completeness before submission to financial institutions.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of loan documentation and agriculture cooperative membership records.
  • Maintain well-organized records of agricultural credit assessments, decisions, and supporting documents to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Conduct loan process workshops to educate agri-stakeholders on relevant rules, regulations, and procedural requirements.
  • Communicate agriculture loan decisions to clients clearly, professionally, and supportively, including explanations of approval conditions or reasons for decline.
  • Address client inquiries related to agricultural loan eligibility, collateral requirements, and repayment terms.
  • Prepare regular reports for the line manager outlining achievements, emerging risks, and portfolio insights related to agricultural lending.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business studies, business administration, or relevant field
  • 1-2 years of experience in credit or financial services, or loan operations, with a background in credit assessment and risk management.
  • Familiarity with credit scoring models, financial analysis, and lending regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to support cross-functional initiatives.
